II. Reporting what someone said — indirect speech

Changements au discours indirect : présent → prétérit (visit→visited, am→was, like→liked) ; pronoms adaptés (I→she/he, we→they) ; this→that, here→there ; verbes introducteurs : said / told me / informed / wanted to know.
III. Expressing past actions — past simple
Kofi was in 5e last year. · My father arrived in London in 1990. · Two weeks ago, I went to my village.
Marqueurs du passé : last year, in 1990, … ago, yesterday. Verbe + -ed (réguliers) ou forme irrégulière (go→went, get→got, be→was/were, make→made).
⚠️ Pièges classiques :- Indirect speech : recul d'un temps après said/told.
- told me/us/them (avec objet) vs said (sans objet).
- « I don't like it » → she informed them that she didn't like it.
