1. Comparative of superiority
Adjectif court : adj + -er + than → some girls are brighter than some boys.
Adjectif long : more + adj + than → girls are more successful than boys.
2. Comparative of equality
as + adjectif + as → Girls are as skilled as boys. / as intelligent as boys.
Règle : adjectif 1 syllabe → -er ; adjectif long (2+ syllabes) → more … than ; égalité → as … as.
⚠️ Pièges classiques :- more bright than ❌ → brighter than ✅ (adjectif court).
- Ne jamais mélanger : as … than ❌ → as … as ✅.
- opinion ≠ comparison : « In my opinion » pour donner un avis ; comparatif pour comparer.
